Health Science is one of the oldest science for the mankind, especially in India there has been a very old tradition. Medicine was known to have reached the pinnacle with globally known super specialist like charak and sushrut with the advent of times, the epicenter of medical science and clinical fundamentals shifted to central Europe.

Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College at Nerul Navi Mumbai was established in 1989. Honorable Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Saheb has the dream of a very efficient healthcare delivery system, which could cater to the masses available to the grassroot level and the really needy and poor should benefit from such system.

We are working towards fulfilling his vision of creating a state –of- the- art tertiary healthcare infrastructure, a world class University that creates globally recognized super specialist in all the faculties. The aim is to reclaim the past glory for which Medical Science was once known.
